Attention all Bracket cars

Just a reminder that if you have not registered for the River Cree resorts Rocky Mountain Nationals please do so immediately as available spaces are almost filled. Pre-registered cars will also be able to utilize the return lane for parking prior to the event as not to overcrowd the staging areas dedicated for this event. Registrations are available in the main menu on left side of the home page under the Drag Strip section titled RMN Competitiors Page.

June is JUMPIN' at Castrol Raceway

This months schedule at Castrol Raceway includes some of the most exciting events of the season. Whether you are into 1/4 Drag racing, Dirt Track racing or maybe you are a big MOTO-X fan, Castrol raceway has what you need. June includes not only the the 200+ mph Nitro Harleys of the C.M.D.R.A and the all bike drags but you can also check out Funny Cars, Pro-Mods and more at the Full Throttle Weekend. If thats not enough, come out for the high flying action of the Monster Energy MX Nationals presented by CARS RV & Marine or catch some of the best oval racing around with the Zorbas Pizza Night Thunder series. Throw in JB's Power Centre Street Legal drags, SPEC-D Drifting, Mini Sprint racing, Tri-Tech Compression Bracket racing and Open MX sessions you have the perfect recipe for a High Speed summer. Boychuk Rockets To First Win Of Year

Last year it took until the final two races of the season for Canadian Top Fueler Tim Boychuk to find his footing. This year, Boychuk decided not to wait so long. Boychuk drove past Litton in the finals of the IHRA Sooner Nationals for his first win of the season and the third of his career Sunday at Tulsa Raceway Park after the fourth of 10 races on the 2009 Nitro Jam schedule.

It was a nice step in the right direction for Boychuk who hadnâ€™t even claimed a round win until two weeks ago in Dallas. Struggling out of the gate, Boychuk started to turn the corner in Texas with the No. 1 qualifying spot and followed that up with a run through the Top Fuel ladder on Sunday to claim his third win in the last six races.

TOP SPORTSMAN AND TOP DRAGSTER TO RETURN TO ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONALS

The IHRA Top Dragster and Top Sportsman categories will be returning to competition at the upcoming IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals July 3-5, 2009.
Each category will be a 16 car qualified field, with the minimum dial for Top Sportsman set at 7.90 and for Top Dragster 7.70. The classes will follow all current IHRA race procedures.
Each class will pay $2,000 to win, $1,000 r/u, $500 semiâ€™s, $200 qtrs and $100 to those not winning first round.
All sportsman competitors that win their class at the Rocky Mountain Nationals will qualify for IHRAâ€™s season ending â€œTournament Of Championsâ€. The best racers from across North America will meet in Rockingham North Carolina during the IHRA World Finals to race for the overall IHRA world championship in each class.
